eCourts Services 3.1.2

eCourts Services is a comprehensive app that provides valuable information related to cases filed in the Subordinate courts and most of the High Courts in the country. It offers users the flexibility to focus on District Courts, High Court, or both, allowing them to tailor their experience based on their specific requirements.

Designed for citizens, litigants, lawyers, police, government agencies, and other institutional litigants, eCourts Services App offers a range of services neatly organized under different captions. These include Search by CNR, Case Status, Cause List, Calendar, and My Cases.

One of the standout features of the app is the CNR search function. Every case filed in District and Taluka Courts in the country is assigned a unique CNR (Case Number) which, when entered into the app, provides users with the most up-to-date status and details of the case.

Users can also search for case status using various options such as Case Number, Party Name, Filing Number, FIR Number, Advocate Name, Relevant Act of the Case, and Case Type. These options are displayed as identifiable icons under the Case Status tab to enhance ease of use.

Upon initial search of a case status, users are presented with the case number and names of parties involved. Clicking on the case number opens up a more detailed view of the case history and its current status.

The expandable view captions within the case details section provide comprehensive information about various aspects of the case. This includes Case Type, Filing Number, Filing Date, Registration Number, Registration Date, CNR Number, First Hearing Date, Next Hearing Date, State of Case, Court Number, Designation of Judge, Petitioner and Advocate details, Respondent and Advocate details, Acts related to the case, History of Case Hearing from first date to current date, and any Judgments and Orders passed in the case. Users can also easily save a case for future reference using the "Add Case" button.

The "Advocate" option under Case Status allows users to search for information by the name of an advocate or their unique Bar Code. This generates a list of all cases where the advocate is associated.

The "Date Case List" option provides a unique cause list of all cases for an advocate listed before all courts in the Complex.

The "My Cases" tab enables litigants or lawyers to save all cases of interest, allowing them to create and manage their portfolio or personal case diary.

Within the "My Cases" tab, users can easily filter to view only today's listed cases or select a different date to see cases listed on that specific date. The app also offers a convenient "Remove Case" option for users who wish to remove a case from their saved list.

The app provides a convenient "Refresh" button adjacent to the Today's Cases section to update the information saved under My Cases. In case of any connection issues, the app will display a "connection error" message.

The Cause List function allows users to generate a cause list for any selected court.

Lastly, the eCourts Services App offers additional facilities such as a calendar, caveat search, and integration with maps for locating court complexes on mobile devices.
